Inspired by Japanese temple omamori, these are handmade by myself and include a decorative peony fan pin badge.

The Omamori is a talisman, amulet or charm found at almost every temple or shrine in japan. An omamori carries portable blessings often containing prayers, acting as a symbol of luck, good health or success etc. Traditionally they should be worn close to the heart and never opened to preserve their power! (You can open them after a year after the luck has been used up!)

Inside my own handcrafted Omamori inspired tokens, are handwritten kanji symbols, painted in ink & brushes, on washi paper - all sourced in Japan. The omamori knot itself stands for luck and is further sealed with my own peony fan pin badge, which can be worn everywhere as an extension of its well wishes.

The fan is symbolic also, can be cooling and calming, yet it can also fan the flames of fire, a symbol of beauty, passion, & inspiration!

Each white decorative little knot took up to 15 mins to make, so it was also a labour of love to bring these to life and pass the luck forward.

Enjoy!
